It is great to have the darn thing done. I think I'll stop my license collection at two, especially since a Swedish driver's license means that I can drive in any country in the EU. The 'nesting' phase that is supposed to kick in quite late in pregnancy has arrived early for me. I'm all about the lists and little jobs and big jobs. For example, it was somehow absolutely crucial that all of our photos be sorted out and put into albums, all negatives safely stored, and all extras thrown out. (We are now digital, and I'm still mulling that over - should we print a few choice ones out and put them into albums too?) I have found it difficult to be in touch with people. I want to, but whenever I do have a few minutes at the computer my motivation completely dries up, which is very annoying. The Depression Fairy has been camping out on my couch for months now. Some weeks this is not a big deal. Other weeks are difficult indeed, and it's during the difficult weeks that I just can't make contact with people - and of course those are the times when I most need it. I'm not depressed about being pregnant; this is something that has been part of my life for many years but which is being accentuated by the many changes in my body chemistry these days. So some days if I am up, showered, in clean clothes, have eaten semi-decent food and done the dishes, that is a real accomplishment. Some days if I manage to bite down hard and not say the ten deliberately nasty and hurtful things floating around in my head, that is a real accomplishment. When I am feeling overwhelmed and lost and insignificant I want those around me to hurt too - and that most often puts my husband in my sights. I am very thankful for grace. I need love most when I least deserve it. Other accomplishments: the first swim of the season! In Lake Vättern on June 14th, which is very early. It was unbelievably cold, and I almost chickened out, but it felt GREAT afterwards.
